Yamauchi confirmed that Gran Turismo will most likely not be released for any other console but a PC release is not out of the question. There’s surprising news for those of you that don’t like the idea of buying a Playstation 3 just to play Gran Turismo. While initial rumors indicated a release somewhere in 2009, Yamauchi know says that any release date sooner than late 2009 is out of the question. The complex damage model is one of the reasons Gran Turismo 5 seems to be more far ahead than expected. Data for the damage model will be collected from real-life crash tests to make it as realistic as possible. Yamauchi is promising quite the leap forward, saying that damage will not be just optical but have in depth influence on how the damaged car will handle. Part of this update will be a vehicle damage model, a true innovation for Gran Turismo. The game was announced on Jat the PlayStation 5 reveal event and is expected to. The game will be the eighth mainline installment in the Gran Turismo series. As announced a few days ago, the recently released Gran Turismo Prologue will get a significant update in due time. Gran Turismo 7 is an upcoming racing video game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. In a recent interview, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has shed some light on the future of Gran Turismo.
